Here are the steps to create a “blank” highlight on Instagram as of my last update:
Method 1: Using a Special Character Generator (Recommended)
- Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
- Go to a character generator website that allows you to generate special characters and symbols. Websites like YayText or LingoJam can help with this.
- On the character generator website, you’ll find various special characters, including a blank or invisible character. Select and copy this character.
- Open your Instagram app.
- Go to your Instagram profile by tapping on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
- Tap the ‘+’ icon in the top left corner to create a new highlight.
- In the “Name” field, paste the blank or invisible character you copied earlier. You may need to paste it multiple times to make it completely blank.
- Tap “Add” to create the highlight with the seemingly blank name.
Method 2: Using Spaces (May Not Work on All Devices or Platforms)
Please note that Instagram may not accept spaces as a valid name for a highlight on all devices or platforms. This method may not work for everyone.
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to your Instagram profile.
- Tap the ‘+’ icon to create a new highlight.
- In the “Name” field, press and hold the spacebar on your keyboard until you have entered a sufficient number of spaces. You may need to enter multiple spaces to make it look empty.
- Tap “Add” to create the highlight.
Important Note: Always keep in mind that Instagram’s features and policies can change, and Instagram may update its guidelines or restrictions regarding blank highlights or special characters. If the methods mentioned above no longer work or if Instagram has introduced new rules, you may not be able to create blank highlights. Additionally, make sure you are using these methods responsibly and in compliance with Instagram’s terms of service.
